Culture In Motion traveled through the Southwest & Texas with a series of cultural routes that captured the distinct energy of the region. From the spectacle and entertainment visibility of Las Vegas to Phoenix’s deep community legacy and Dallas’ performance-driven cultural landscape, each city offered a different perspective on how culture is expressed, preserved, and experienced. The experience highlighted the region’s blend of history, creativity, public life, and large-scale influence, expanding Culture In Motion’s presence across some of the country’s most dynamic cultural environments.

    Highlights

    The Southwest & Texas cultural loops moved through landmarks that reflect the region’s blend of spectacle, resilience, artistic expression, and civic identity. In Las Vegas, the route connected iconic symbols like the Welcome Sign, Sphere, and Harrison House, bridging global entertainment with the city’s deeper Black cultural history. In Phoenix, stops including the Patterson Elks Lodge, Swindall Tourist Inn, and Roosevelt Street highlighted stories of community, preservation, and creative resurgence. Dallas brought together major performance venues, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts, and architectural landmarks that underscored the city’s role in cultivating talent and large-scale cultural visibility. Together, the routes mapped a region where history, performance, and public life intersect in powerful and distinct ways.
