The SUPERCHARGED® Boost Bus™ rolled through Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. It sparked connection, fueled creativity, and ignited performance.

    Yard Takeover - Hampton University

    HBCU Activation

    At Hampton University, Culture In Motion transformed campus into a hub of energy, pride, and participation. The SUPERCHARGED® Boost Bus™ invited students to step inside and experience the spirit, history, and legacy of The Apollo Theater through immersive storytelling and interactive engagement. Music, movement, and shared experiences fueled connection throughout the day, creating an atmosphere that celebrated excellence, honored cultural heritage, and reflected the strength of Hampton’s vibrant campus community.

    Phi Beta Sigma: One East Conference - Norfolk State University

    HBCU Activation

    Culture In Motion turned campus pride into pure energy. The Boost Bus brought the legacy of The Apollo straight to Norfolk State, sparking stories, performances, and cultural connections that span generations. Fueled by sound, creativity, and participation, the activation transformed campus into a vibrant hub where culture felt immediate, communal, and unmistakably Spartan.

    HBCU Activation

    At Howard University, Culture In Motion became a platform for student expression, transforming campus energy into moments of connection and creativity. Inspired by the legacy of The Apollo Theater, the activation celebrated the voices, perspectives, and ideas that continue to shape culture today. Throughout the experience, students moved from audience to participant, creating an atmosphere driven by authenticity, engagement, and collective energy.

    DC Community Boost Block Party

    Community Event

    Set in the heart of Howard University’s historic cultural corridor, the Washington, D.C. Community Block Party brought Culture In Motion to a neighborhood long associated with Black creativity, leadership, and community life. Music, performances, and interactive experiences transformed Sandlot Uptown into a vibrant gathering place filled with creativity, connection, and community energy. Students, families, artists, and neighbors came together to celebrate culture in a space where history, expression, and collective impact continue to thrive.

    Culture In Motion School Activation

    At KIPP DC, Culture In Motion transformed learning into an immersive experience of creativity, storytelling, and discovery. Students engaged with culture in a hands-on way, exploring new ideas and perspectives through interactive experiences designed to spark curiosity and imagination. Throughout the day, the activation turned education into an opportunity for exploration and inspiration, encouraging students to see themselves as creators, storytellers, and future leaders in culture and their communities.

    Culture In Motion travelled through the heart of the Mid-Atlantic, connecting cities that have long shaped culture, community, and influence across America. From the waterfront energy of Virginia Beach and Norfolk to Richmond’s historic Jackson Ward, Washington, D.C.’s U Street Corridor, and Baltimore’s leading cultural institutions, the routes traced a powerful landscape of history, creativity, leadership, and expression. Together, they revealed a region where cultural legacy is not confined to the past but continues to inspire, connect, and create impact across generations.
